Ben & Catey Jones
The Jones family joined Unitas when their oldest son, Cooper, entered GIV. The following year, Molly and Eli joined in the fun as GIII and GI students. Youngest Jones, Andy, looks forward to his turn to attend Unitas when he's old enough. Ben and Catey joined the Unitas Board in 2022 and currently oversee Special Events. The Joneses are grateful for the balance of structure and flexibility that the Unitas model provides, as well as the amazing community that makes cooperating such a joy and help to their family as they seek to bring their kids up in the nurture and instruction of the Lord.
Jeremy & Chesed Broggi
The Broggi Family joined UNITAS in 2014 when their oldest daughter began Kindergarten. Seven years later they have four children attending UNITAS! In 2019, they began serving as Board Members and currently oversee Family Relations. Jeremy and Chesed have been married for 14 years and reside in Cheverly with their four daughters: Lois, Ruth, Dorothy and Agnes. They are incredibly grateful for UNITAS and say, "We still cannot believe we have found such an affordable and high quality coop to enable us to classically educate our children. We cannot imagine doing this without the support of the tutors and other families in this nurturing Christian environment."
Keith & Sara Kauffman
The Kauffman family joined UNITAS during the 2018-2019 school year, when their daughter, Arielle, started Kindergarten. Talia, their youngest, started Kindergarten in the fall of 2020. They quickly fell in love with the support, structure, and fellowship that UNITAS gives to homeschooling families. Keith and Sara were married in 2009 and currently reside in Bowie, MD. The Kauffmans began serving as Board Members in 2019 and currently oversee Administration. The Kauffmans are excited to take on a bigger role of service for UNITAS and looking forward to seeing what God will do for his glory through the co-op!
Dave & Ashley Bennett
The Bennett family joined UNITAS in 2018 when their oldest daughter entered Kindergarten. Dave and Ashley are highschool sweethearts who were married in 2011 and live in Arnold. They currently have three children: Ava, Hallie and Wells. The Bennetts were excited to join the board this year and are overseeing finances. "Unitas gives us the confidence and community to classically educate our children at home. We are so grateful to have the support of our tutors and co-op families. We cannot imagine doing this without Unitas and love serving as board members."
Mark & Colleen Carter
The Carter family joined UNITAS in the fall of 2018 when their oldest son Brendan started Kindergarten. Brendan’s sister Caitlin followed two years later; they are currently enrolled in GIII and GI respectively. Mark and Colleen have been married 10 years and live in Annapolis, Maryland with their three children Brendan, Caitlin, and Darrick. The Carters have been extremely blessed by UNITAS and are excited for the opportunity to serve our fellow UNITAS families on the classical Christian homeschooling journey. The Carters began serving on the Board in 2021 and oversee Tutors & Curriculum.
